IDRA - Ocular Surface Analyser

Slitlamp mounted system for the analysis of the ocular surface

I.C.P IDRA is the new instrument for individual analysis of tear film that allows quick detailed structural research of the tear composition. As well as research on all the layers: Lipid, Aqueous, Mucin.

Thanks to I.C.P. IDRA it is possible to identify the type of DED (Dry Eye Disease) and determine which layers can be treated with a specific treatment, in relation to the type of deficiency..

Auto Interferometry

Most dry eye disease is caused by an insufficiency of the lipid layer quantity. Assessing the quantity  and quality of the lipid component of the tear film is part of your overall Dry Eye Assessment.

The IDRA's automatic interferometry test detects the coloured lipids on the patient's eye and determines LLT (lipid layer thickness) using the international grading scale of Dr. Guillon, and presents them in an easy to understand colour coded map.

3D Meibography

The revolutionary introduction of 3D Meibomian Gland Imaging provides you the clinician with two clear advantages. First, it enables you to confirm the presence of abnormal glands vs. that of a healthy individual in a 3D format. Second, it provides a clear image to share with the patient to help explain the potential cause of their discomfort. Ultimately this new imaging system provides strong evidence to support your choice of therapy for your patient (for example IPL treatment) and help the patient understand why that therapy is being recommended.

Auto Non-Invasive Break-Up Time

The NIBUT measurement evaluates the stability and regularity of the tear film, by measuring the time between the last complete blink and the appearance of the first discontinuity of the tear film in seconds.

The IDRA allows the physician to choose between manual or Auto-NIBUT: manual requires the direct participation of the physician; auto is managed by the software.

Tear Meniscus Height Measurement

The IDRA's Tear Meniscus height measurement test can be taken non-invasively in a matter of seconds by inducing reflex tear production and taking a photo for measurement. The size of these tear menisci are related to the tear secretion rate and stability, providing a good indication of overall tear volume. Small tear volumes may result in dry eye symptoms, especially in aqueous tear deficiency (ATD).

Blepharitis & Cylindrical Dandruff

Detects blepharitis and demodex on the outer surface of the eye and eyelids

Ocular Redness Classification

Captures an image of the blood vessels of the conjunctiva in order to compare to the classification sheets of bulbar and limbal redness degree

Measurement of the pupils reaction to light with and without glare. Measurement mode : SCOTOPIC, MESOPIC, PHOTOPIC

White to White Measurement

Evaluation of corneal diameter from limbus to limbus
