With an aging population interested in non-invasive, reliable and safe procedures to look younger, many physicians are purchasing skin rejuvenation systems to meet this increasing demand. Skin rejuvenation is a treatment to reduce mild wrinkling, broken capillaries, vascular and pigmented lesions, brown spots, enlarged pores and rosacea.
There were 1,390,000 skin rejuvenation procedures performed in the U.S. in 2005- second only to hair removal in aesthetic laser procedures performed. Photorejuvenation procedures are expected to grow at a category growth rate of 25.4% from 2006 to 2010, with the number of procedures surpassing 4 million by 2010.
