How ProFractional Therapy Works

ProFractional Therapy is delivered by ProFractional™ and ProFractionalXC™ laser modalities that use 2940 nm wavelength energy to create microablated channels deep in the dermal tissue, covering only a fraction of the total surface area and leaving the surrounding skin intact for faster healing and increased patient comfort. The wound-healing process produces fibroblasts that generate new collagen, plumping the skin and correcting skin imperfections.

Due to efficient water absorption of the 2940 nm wavelength, ProFractional and ProFractional-XC can instantly eliminate the damaged tissue, accounting for effective results in just 1 to 3 single-pass treatments. The downtime from the procedure is very short, and patients can typically resume their normal activities and get back to work in 2 to 4 days after the treatment.
