Articulated Arm- The Joule™ integrates an articulated arm with laser beam shape-preserving optics to deliver a true flat-top beam for uniform treatment. It never needs alignment and can be easily placed in any position since it has six points of articulation.
Powerful Cooling- The Joule™ provides a powerful 250 Watt external cooling system which uses 100% sapphire cooling plates in full contact with the skin for patient safety and comfort. This system is capable of precise 1 degree incremental control of the skin’s surface temperature from -5°C to body temperature.
Smart, Touch Screen User Interface- With the smart touch screen user interface, initial settings for each treatment are pre-loaded according to the patient’s Joule. Simply select the desired application, skin type, hair color, ablation depth, treatment pattern and other parameters and the control system automatically suggests the initial system settings.
Flat Top Beam Joule- The flat top beam Joule provides consistent, uniform treatment without a central hotspot. The fluence throughout the beam is at the displayed therapeutic value for uniform and consistent fluence over the entire treatment area.
Computer Guided Scanner- Manual placement of individual pulses can lead to overlap of adjacent pulses causing overheating and treatment gaps. The Joule’s Large Area Pattern Generator (LAPG) precisely places each pulse in a non-sequential pattern to eliminate improper placement of individual pulses. This robotic scanning of pulses provides increased safety, improved efficiency, greater patient comfort and fast treatment speeds.
Optical Multiplexing- Multiplexing allows the blending of two lasers into one treatment. This enables the ideal blend of precision vaporization, user-selected depth of coagulation, and the ability to couple two lasers for fast treatment speeds.
