The Active FX™ procedure uses the same skin resurfacing concept as with traditional CO2 yet with a significantly smaller spot size (1.3mm2 vs 3.97mm2). This allows for less heat build up around the spots which means less erythema and edema. In addition, the spots are placed 3 times as fast as traditional CO2 to ensure a very fast coverage time.
The low density of the pattern leaves bridges intact allowing for thermal relaxation between ablated spots. These small ‘bridges’ of healthy tissue that remain ensure faster healing than traditional CO2 procedures.
